What qualifies as Hi-Def event video? High definition video is delivered on BluRay Disc... Period! The unfortunate reality in this industry is that many videographers claim to produce in "High Definition". Most don't. They use the term as a buzzword to attract naive clients. Ask to see a sample of a recent wedding on BluRay disc.

In the end, what matters most is that when compared to Standard Definition, Hi Definition video looks substantially sharper and is more clear. Compared to SD, High definition video contains over 7X the picture information, allowing for greater resolution.
It is ashamed that, in this industry, many video producers attempt to fool the consumer into thinking that they produce in HD. These studios either do not understand the complicated process of how to create a Blu-Ray Disc, or who have not made the significant investment in purchasing ALL needed products to achieve a complete HD workflow might try to tell you that they will make you a Blu-Ray Disc later on... This is HOGWASH! Local bridal magazines are littered with these false claims. If you are in doubt or their capabilities, ASK TO SEE A SAMPLE ON BLU-RAY DISC. If they can't show you one, they don't do High Definition.
