“Your assumptions are your windows on the world. Scrub them off every once in a while, or the light won’t come in.” ― Isaac Asimov
I’m not going to lie… I was worried after our initial appointment…
At first, I honestly couldn’t believe that Qiong and Michael called us back and wanted US to shoot their wedding photography. During our appointment, Qiong was very direct with her questions, and had a no frills, no fuss attitude. Michael sat quietly on the couch literally saying a small handful of words to me during our entire meeting. They were so quiet and reserved. I can’t remember if either on of them even cracked a smile. How would we be able to get them to “bring it” on their wedding day? We didn’t have to… they “brought it” all on their own!
Although our first encounter was definitely more business-like than chatty/personal, Qiong and Michael’s wedding day was quite the opposite. Their TRUE personalities came shining through that day. They opened-up, and it ends-up that they are just as sarcastic and goofy as we are! LOVE IT!!! They are so fun-loving and carefree when they are with their loved ones and friends, but it is plain to see that they are the most comfortable when they are in each others’ arms.
Oh, and did I mention that they are total troopers?!?! This couple never let the hot summer wind or the threat of a torrential storm looming in the distance get them down. No way! They were so positive and willing to keep going throughout the night which allowed us to get some amazing photos of the two of them.
Thank you Qiong and Michael for choosing us to capture your wedding day memories! We’re so glad you did!
We had a wonderful time with you, your families and your friends. Congratulations again!
